um you memorize it. you can prove it, but its not that fun...yet not that hard.

we are not solving anything. we do not say that x = 1 in the end(so we are not solving it). we are saying its always true for any value x

like x - x = 0 is true for any x. you can look at x-x=0 and see that its true but how would you solve it?
