I really need to get through this, can someone Guide me through this organic chem chart?

I realised that everytime you 'move' towards right, you have to add acid, if you move to the left,

if you move to the left, you add alkali, is that the way to remember?

Plus, there's SO MANY THINGS to remember in organic chem, the most confusing one is reaction with KMnO4 , I'm not sure what product will form if hot conc KMnO4.
KMnO4 or Cold dilute will do, can anyone guide me?

well KMnO4 is highly oxidising agent so you can find product what it would be..after getting osidised

The only technique I can remember this chart is
+Add acid (Moves to right)
+Add alkali (Moves to left)
I know there's another COMPLETE way and BETTER way of remembering it, how?

I had to memorize that chart. I actually copied that chart for 3-4 times and draw it without looking at it until I got that all correct.
I wouldn't remember it by adding acid, since when you add K2Cr2O7 or KMnO4, it's usually acidified. But very similar to your way, when it goes to the right, the product has been oxidized or something..
