the smallest positive integer value of n for which 480n is a multiple of 576. Find n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This can be solve by first dividing 480 by 576. We get 5/6. This is a fraction. now in order to make it a positive integer we multiply this fraction by 6 and we get 5. This means that if at the starting point we multiply 480 by 6 we will straight away get a integer i.e 5. So the value of n=6

i did not get the last part of your explanation :(

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

Hint: another way to do this is to look at the prime factorization of both numbers

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can create the equalty 480n = 576s and simplify it down a bit 5n = 6s the first time a multiple of 5 and 6 are equal is at 30
