If 2 charges are placed away from each other, there is a force acting on each other. Now we put a thin wire that connect them together, same distance. Now what is the force acting on each other. Shouldn't it be the same? or is the thin wire added make a difference?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Instead of charges, can you say charged spheres? In that case, the force may change if charge flows along the wire.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, IS THE wire CONDUCTING ? Because if it IS conducting then the charges will be reduced by mutual neutralization, reduced either partially or completely
