What is the domain and range of the application? Then, give the answer/s in interval notation.

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

it tells u that t is the number of years since 1974, then t>=0 (this is the domain) then since t>=0 \[ \large -203t\geq-203\cdot0=0 \] \[ \large V(t)=-203t+9655\geq9655 \] this is the range

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand this. I thought it was (-inf, inf)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's first degree equation, so domain ( -inf, inf), also range ( -inf, inf)

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

u would think so. but read carefully the wording of the problem. the definition of V(t) (without context) would lead you to this conclusions, but it has a context!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the range is only from the specified year. so 1974 is t=0 to perhaps infinity or this year which is 2012=38. the range would be from 9655 to whatever
