What's the formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (mathmate):

S=(1/2)gt^2 g=16, t=4, S=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32 feet/second squared 32 feet/4^2 32 feet/ 16 2 32 * 16 /2 516/2 256ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's probably done because i've never done much physics. if your answer choices are close to 256ft then there might be something you add or subtract so idk.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wrong* not done

OpenStudy (shane_b):

@Lethal: your answer is exactly correct. \[d=\frac{1}{2}gt^2=\frac{1}{2}(-32ft/s^2)(4^2s)=-256ft\]It's only negative because I chose to have down as a negative direction.
