How many cubic centimeters (cm3) of olive oil have the same mass as 1.50L of gasoline?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

1L = 1000 cc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have the relative densities?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Conversions: 1cc = mL 1L=1000mL Masses: Gasoline is about 0.74 g/mL Olive oil is aboue 0.92 g/mL Calculations: Mass of 1.5L of gas => 1500mL * 0.74 g/mL = 1110g (0.92g/mL)x=1110g Solve for x and that will be how many mL (or cc since 1mL=1cc) of olive oil it will take to equal the mass as 1.50L of gasoline.

You can also multiply the volume of gasoline by the ratios of the densities, 0.74/0.92

OpenStudy (shane_b):

<slaps forehead> Yep.
