how did u get 1.08?
decrease a number by 20% multiply by \(0.8\) increase a number by 8% multiply by \(1.08\)
1) if you get 20% off you pay 80% of the price 2) if you add 8% to P you will get \(p+.08P=(1.08)P\) by the distributive law increase by 8% multiply by \(1.08\)
so 75* 0.8* 1.08 will give me the answer?
