Quadrilateral ABCD has coordinates (3, 5), (5, 2), (8, 4), (6, 7). Quadrilateral ABCD is a multiple choice is: A: rectangle because its length is 2 the square root of 13 units, its width is square root 13 units, and adjacent sides are perpendicular B: trapezoid because it has only one pair of parallel sides C:square because its length and width are both the square root of 13units and adjacent sides are perpendicular D: rhombus because its length and width are both the square root of 13 units and adjacent sides are not perpendicular

OpenStudy (ghazi):

plot it ...you'll have trapezoid..

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

1) find length of each side, using distance formula 2) find slope/gradient of each side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh i thought it was a rhombus

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

cursory glance i see that opposite sides are parallel. so its a parallelogram for sure it can be square/rectangle/rhombus...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it isnt a rhombus i got that wrong

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

hmm did you find lengths ? we can decide once we have lengths.. .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3, 5), (5, 2), (8, 4), (6, 7).

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

call the vertices : A: (3, 5), B : (5, 2), C : (8, 4), D : (6, 7).
