Find cos,tan,and sin! Geometry question, problem(figure) in comments

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (ghazi):

\[\tan \theta =\frac{ 7 }{ 6 }\]

OpenStudy (valpey):

Sin = Opposite/Hypotenuse Cos = Adjacent/Hypotenuse Tan = Opposite/Adjacent Hypotenuse^2 = Opposite^2 + Adjacent^2

OpenStudy (ghazi):

but to find hypotenuse use \[H^2= \sqrt{7^2+6^2}=\sqrt{49+36}=\sqrt 85\]

OpenStudy (ghazi):

now sin theta= 7/ sqrt 85 and cos theta= 6/ sqrt 85

OpenStudy (ghazi):

@oholmes clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, thank you very much
