simplify monomial: attatched

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ -6m ^{3}n ^{3} }{ 18m ^{5}n }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910 can you help me please

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

First reduce \[\Large \frac{6}{18}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Then subtract the corresponding exponents. Ex: for m, 3 - 5 = -2, so we get m^(-2) = 1/(m^2)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Tell me what you get for the final answer

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'm not sure why you can't comment, but you're close, the final answer is actually \[-\frac{ n^2 }{ 3m^2 }\] Sorry I should have put a negative in the original fraction above (in my last post)
