(Geometry, please help!) Which two triangles are congruent? ΔEFD ≅ ΔHIG ΔLJK ≅ ΔFED ΔFDE ≅ ΔCAB ΔCBA ≅ ΔKLJ
Hint: You'd have to remember what are the possible criteria for congruences. In this case, look for SAS (two sides with included angle). Remember also that congruent triangles could also be mirror images, as long as you name the angles in the correct order.
@mathmate Ok thanks!! :) I got ΔEFD ≅ ΔHIG at first, but one of the angles weren't marked the same, so I came up with ΔLJK ≅ ΔFED
I originally put the first answer because they looked alike too but it didn't seem to work... or maybe I'm overthinking it
Your initial proposed answer is correct. The one ticked in the diagram is not. Be sure that you understand why your answer is correct.
@mathmate Is it because it's the same triangle, just flipped and ticked almost the same?
Yes, they are flipped. Check SAS: EF = HI ED = HG Angle F = angle I (included angles)
@mathmate Ahhh thank you so much :) I understand!
You're very welcome! :)
