A person jumps upward, leaving the ground with the same initial velocity as an insect that is able to jump a vertical distance of 5cm. Will the person jump a vertical distance that will be equal to, less than or greater than 5cm???

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

Hint: acceleration due to gravity at the Earth's surface is constant

Hi Barrycarter, are you trying to say that since acceleration due to gravity is constant, then the person will jump the same vertical distance as the insect? Is the distance jumped irrespective of the size of the object jumping?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

You didn't ask me, but that's true.
