OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

what does "sink and reservoir" mean?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@nincompoop

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yes. we are.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

what does "sink and reservoir" mean in cycles?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

for example, my notes say "phosphorous cycle is a biogeochemical cycle that does not include the atmosphere as sink and reservoir"

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmm?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so reservoir is for storing elements in the atmosphere? and sink is for releasing elements from the atmosphere?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so in summary...what's the difference? sink is under reservoir? reservoir stores and releases while sink only releases?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is that a no to my question?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so the reservoir is where the elements come and go? it's where elements are distributed and it's where the elements come back to?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

ugh chemistry o.O

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so does that mean differentiating reservoir and sink in words is impossible?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

huh?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

and i like neither

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

oh nice. what im looking for

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i dont have "materials"..these are from my environmental engineering quizzes

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

those materials are long gone. it's been decades since i touched these stuffs. who knows what happened to those.
