The pigment is called daphniphylline. It is formerly known as Hibiscin It is found in Hibiscus Leaf.

purple cabbage what might appear to be black, are usually Anthocyanins. They won't be the only pigments present in the purple cabbage, however. There will also be Chlorophyll for photosynthesis and pigments such as Carotenoids present in smaller concentrations PURPLE CABBAGE
