Help please What is the length of GA ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know trigonometric ratios ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO Can you please explain to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are some fixed ratios of the sides of any right triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here, in this question.. The Ratio of the perpendicular and base is called tangent of angle 45 (given here) => 64/AB = tan45 tan 45 has a value 1.. ( You will need to learn trigonometry :P) so AB has a value of 64 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now GA = GB - AB We have GB = 137 and AB = 64 so subtract and Cheers! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

73

is that the answer ^^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Length of AG is 73 only. That will be length of "EG" Consider the bigger triangle.. Similarly tan60 = EG / GA tan 60 has value sqrt(3) So, EG has a value 73 sqrt(3) which you have written above.

THANKS YOU SO MUCH I NEED MORE HELP YOUR EXPLANATION IS VERY GOOD
