One angle in a triangle has a measure that is three times as large as the smallest angle. The measure of the third angle is 30 degrees more than that of the smallest angle. Find the measure of the LARGEST angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let the smallest be x can you express the other two angles in terms of x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what i got 3x+x=30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one that is three times as large as the smallest is x the other one that is 30 more than the smallest is (30+x) now just use the property of the sum of the angles in a triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is going to be like this x+x+30=180
