Billings int. 2001 sales $2,000,000. 2005 sales $6,000,000. What is the percent increase for billings int. sales from 2001-2005.

OpenStudy (deadpool):

300%

OpenStudy (deadpool):

it is multiplied by 3 so each 1 is 100% so 300%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, thank you ! :)

OpenStudy (deadpool):

no prob :D

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

Wait, wouldn't the *increase* be 200%?

OpenStudy (deadpool):

the increase is 200% yes but multiply that into 2,000,000 you get 4,000,000

OpenStudy (barrycarter):

Right, but they're asking for the percent increase, so isn't the answer 200%?

OpenStudy (deadpool):

my god your right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol so it's 200%? How exactly do I find this out though, that's the only confusing part ! :(

OpenStudy (deadpool):

get the base value and that is 100% so if it was 10 100% of 10 is 10 so if the new number was 30 that would be 300% of 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh alright! thank you !!
