Simplify. Please show all work. 7a-(3a+4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7a-1(3a+4), distribute that negative 1 first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't you want to follow the order of operation first so wouldn't it be 3a+4=7a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7a -3a-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then that would be: 4a-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with the order of operations you would do whats in the parenthesis first, then multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since theres nothing to do in the parenthesis well do multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok thank you the both of you
