Read the steps Stan wrote to construct triangle PTS congruent to triangle DJK. Step 1. Mark a point P. With the length of DK as the width of the compass, draw an arc from P. Mark a point on the arc as S. Step 2. Use the ruler to measure side DJ and draw a segment with the same length from point P. Step 3. With the length of KJ as the width of the compass draw an arc to intersect the segment drawn from point P. Step 4. Mark the intersection of the segment and arc as T.

Which statement about the steps Stan wrote for the construction of the triangle DEF is true? Steps 1 and 2 are incorrect because a ruler was not used in step 1 and a compass was not used in step 2. It is incomplete because one step of drawing a segment before marking point P and S was not included. Steps 2, 3, and 4 are incorrect because a compass was not used in Step 2 to preserve length and angle congruency. All the steps are correct because the corresponding sides have congruent lengths.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They didnt give me a diagram

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

oh!!

mathslover (mathslover):

they will not because this quest. is of constructing the triangle ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what would be the answer than

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

Vry confusing question..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mathslover what would you say the answer would be?

mathslover (mathslover):

@vishweshshrimali5 @mukushla

mathslover (mathslover):

here is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its b)

mathslover (mathslover):

:) here i go

OpenStudy (vishweshshrimali5):

:D

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

is it option B.......

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

:)

mathslover (mathslover):

yep

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaa! omg

OpenStudy (anonymous):
