You solve i graph. :) Please? 6x – 4 < –34 or 3x + 10 > 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take each statement separately and solve for x. e.g. for the first one, add 4 to both sides then divide both sides by 6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhhh ok. Thanks! :)

Reminder: If you have an inequality statement and while solving you multiply or divide by a negative number, you must change the direction of the inequality. Other than that, they are the same as normal equations.

Do i do the same thing with this one? –2 ≤ 2x – 4 < 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but this is an AND situation while the last one was an OR. First separate that into -2 ≤ 2x - 4 and 2x - 4 < 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok Thank you for the help!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you comfortable with the graphing part too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. :)
