A trucking company had ots logo embroidered on the front of baseball caps. The caps are normally 20$ each but will be reduced by .05$ per hat for large orders. How large of an order is needed for the price of the hat to be 15$.

We have to write an equation that relates the final price to the original price minus 0.5*# of hats

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=20$ .05x=15$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x should be defined as the # of hats sold. i equation i get is: finalprice=startingprice-0.05*hatssold 15=20-0.05*x
