Mathematics 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2(v-7)-6v=8(4-v)-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2v +14 - 6v = 32 - 8v - 3 distribute.

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

just complete swin2013's work. \[ \large -2v-6v+8v=32-3-14 \] now perform all the operations and post what u get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's the problem... the 8v's cancel out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry but i dont know how to do it thanks anyways guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you write the problem wrong? Or are they looking for no real numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no jus to solve the equation

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

it is fine \[ \large 0=15 \] which is not true. this means that equation has no solutions. unless, as swin2013 said, you wrote the equation incorrectly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im pretty sure i wrote it rite

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

so 0=15 means the equation has no solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. agree with helder. no real solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u guys do the problem step by step i have a test tomorrow and i wanna be raedy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember to combine like terms and distribute carefully. Combine the terms with variables first. try to put them in one side of the equation. then combine the numbers and put them in the other side of the equation. the goal is to solve for the variable (or the letter)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u
