A Speedboat moves on a lake with an : Initial Velocity Vector (Vx): 8.83 M/s and Vy : -2.59. Then accelerates for 5.61 seconds at an average acceleration Ax : = -0.104 m/s^2 and Ay of .104m/s^2. What is the components of the speedboats final velocity Vx and Vy? And the boat's final speed.

What I'm thinking of trying is since to find Vx is : InitialVelocity Cosine Theta. and to find Vy is Initial velocity Sin Theta. Am I supposed to use the equations : Vx : VoCos(Ɵ) and Vy : VoSin(Ɵ)?
