The main meal of the day in spanish-speaking countries is eaten in the evening?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Usually in the afternoon, around 2-3 o'clock.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I´d say it´s 2-3 as well, at least in Spain ¨el almuerzo¨ is a big deal. Most shops are closed and streets are rather empty, everyone is at lunch;))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say closer to 1 pm most of the time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Usually the main meal is in the afternoon around 2-3. Just like @lilacdreams said.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

en mexico decimos "la comda" y se ocurre a las 2-3 en la tarde

OpenStudy (anonymous):

la comida, el almuerzo = it's the same. Between 2-3 in the afternoon, never closer to 1pm unless you're on the plane!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In Guatemala is always close to 1 pm as well as in the other centroamerican countries
