Hello, everyone. I am a rising sophomore who wants to be a mathematician. My goal is to learn about Elliptic Curves before I graduate. However, I am unsure of how I should start. Can you please tell me which online courses (MIT Opencourseware etc.) or Books I should read to start preparing for Elliptic Curves? Thank you! (Oh, by the way, my current level of mathematics is single variable calculus. I didn't learn much of multivariable calculus yet.)
I humbly submit to you that "Real Analysis" is a prerequisite to number theory (and most higher mathematics...) Also, the study of elliptic curves in conjunction with number theory will surely invoke a deal of "Complex Analysis", which is typically a step up from the previous course. More importantly, if you plan on solving the Riemann hypothesis or some other giant problem, you don't know what you're getting into.
