how is f(x)=x compared to g(x)=x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's simply a transformation. f(x) = x is a line through the origin. g(x) = x-6 is a line through the point (0,-6) you shifted f(x) 6 units down.

By the way ANY graph moves 6 down when you subtract 6 from the original. Not only straight line
