Finding the shortest route. A man in a rowboat 4 kilometers from the nearest point on a straight shore wishes to reach his house 8 kilometers down the shore. If he can row at a rate of 2kph and walk at rate of 4kph, how should he proceed in order to arrive at his house in the shortest possible time? Please help me to answer this ..
