What is the domain of the function y = sin x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omain of sin(x) is all real numbers. This is because there is no value of x that I can plug into sin(x) and it not be defined. Range of sin(x) is all real numbers between -1 and 1. You can see this if you graph the equation. Sin(x) is a continuous wave that bounces between -1 and 1. Another reason why you know sin(x) is between -1 and 1 is by the definition of sin(x). Sin(x) is the y coordinate on the unit circle x^2+y^2=1.
