Actually, I don't think that's correct. I believe the correct answer is 9^21. http://www.purplemath.com/modules/exponent.htm This should help explain why this is the correct answer. Basically, when you're raising an exponent to a power, you multiply the exponents. \[(x^m)^n = x ^{mn}\]
