Megan read the sentence shown below. “If two distinct planes intersect, then they intersect in exactly one line.“ Which of these statements is true about what Megan read? It is a theorem because it is a statement which is assumed true without proof. It is a postulate because it is a statement which can be used to prove a theorem. It is a postulate because it is a true statement which can be proved. It is a theorem because it is a true statement which can be proved.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

which one do u think

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

its not theorem for sure as we concluded in the previous prob !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it should be C

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

nope you cannot prove postulates

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

but you can use it to prove other things, so its B. It is a postulate because it is a statement which can be used to prove a theorem.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

does that make sense/help @OnlyTina ?
