I had the same problem. cross multiply -10/ 2/3 = y/12 -10 * 12 2/3 * y then do it like a regular equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/3y=-120 divide y=-20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it? or should I explain further?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's -10 * 12 then 2/3 * y that's cross-multiplying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically write up you're equation as -10 over 2/3 is equal to y over 12 then put an x across the equal sign and multiply the number at each end of the lines on the x. Is that easier to understand?
