How do you use slope to prove a polygon a certain shape?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you working wid quadrilaterals ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can check to see if two lines are perpendicular to each other which proves if there is a right angle or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there's like a graph and there's a parallelogram with certain points and you have to use slope to show that parallelogram abcd is a parallelogram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and another problem is prove that it's a right traingle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you have to use the definition of a parallelogram. What is true about parallelograms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh equal opposite angles? LOL how does that help though... uh parallel opposite sides equal side lengths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a Ha!, parallel opposite sides. how can we use the slopes of two lines to prove if the object has parallel opposite sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhh same slopes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D thanks ur awesome :D
