2x^2 − 5xy + 1 − y^2 = 0 find x in terms of y

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

add y^2 to both sides first \[\implies 2x^2 - 5xy + 1 = y^2\] now take the square root to get y does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it does thanks :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
