A. Lincoln was a very sophisticated, smart, and caring man. He wanted the speech to touch the hearts of all people(Democrats, independents, youth, etc.) to give them a sense of hope, and peace while also showing them that he was a good choice for the election. WE can take out C, and B. Because he only touched briefly if anything on these two.

And we can say its A. He did illustrate the importance of Union and Freedom, but he deeply wanted to be reelected.
