TEST SESSIONS on OS !!!!!!!!!!! If we could include a section for tests/practice exercises in every group , it would be really great. Either mods or even members would post the assignments. As per tests are concerned , mods would upload the test, like objective paper , and subjective if possible . Also we could time the test. Like test would be annouced a week before , and we can prepare for it and then test would be conducted and timed for all on a particular day and time( different for different groups). And then we'll all be worried about our scores , waiting to see who topped :p Also the score could be added to the smart score. This would be real fun. Anyone with meee ???

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

What, exactly, do you mean by "test sessions"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have modified my question. There I have explained everything.

I prolly wouldnt mind a monthly test. provide a dedicated link to a site that has 5 or 6 questions from each subject/level and see how we do :)

OpenStudy (blues):

I also would be intrigued. Although I would like to see preparation of each test/quiz t be a collaborative effort between other users. And if they require essay answers, marking them should also be a collaborative effort involving discussion by the community.

See I know for english it would be a bit difficult , but atleast for maths and science , we can have weekly or monthly tests. And also assignments/practice ques we/mods can upload. This would really help. Infact it would be really interesting , provoking the people who are a bit lethargic as per studies are concerned.

I'm definitely intrigued by this idea, and wouldn't mind discussing this further. I'm definitely a fan of keeping it 'crowdsourced' by the users - perhaps some way of compiling the questions that received the most attention in a given week/month? Or base it on a degree of difficulty. Again, not sure on the details, but in general I'm a fan of the idea :)

Parth (parthkohli):

Nice, nice idea! Perhaps this could become another project of OpenStudy after the Catapult and Mechanical MOOC. Though, I don't think that the groups will have this functionality.(and they shouldn't, really...) Well, yes, another project definitely sounds fun for me. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would really love to have these! Great Idea!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @cshalvey , @ParthKohli and @bkeith2698 for appreciation. See having homework/assignments in each group would not be difficult , but yea assessing them would be a bit tiresome. But then atleast we can start with this project and with time we can make ammendments. Trust me it would be great fun and it would keep each user engaged to OS , helping them both academically and personally(over-all development). Please mods , see if you could do something about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the testing system were to be based on degree of difficulty, it would be a good idea to sort the questions automatically using a system that searches for keywords and assigns a difficulty as such. There will also be a option for a user to warn a moderator that the question is placed at the wrong difficulty need be.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice idea @j814wong ! thanks !

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

So many cool ideas. I wish there were eight of me so I could work on them all… :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shadowfiend I suggest you go to the biology section and ask about cloning. There are probably some mad scientists lurking around there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So @shadowfiend , is there any possibility that test sessions/assignments would be uploaded on OS ?

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Not anytime soon, no. Too much other stuff on the docket at the moment. But we'll keep it in mind when planning future features!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @shadowfiend
