Okay, so the total of the angles has to be 180, because they add up to make a straight line.

So here we go:

7x + (3x - 5) + (8x + 5) = 180.

7x + 3x + 8x = 180.

18x = 180.

Therefore x = 10! A is correct.

You are right. :P The answer is 10, @katlin95, minus that exclamation point, if you thought that was part of the answer. I was just being a bit enthusiastic and forgot that the exclamation point means something totally different in math.
