Evaluate p(x) + p(x), if p(r)=4r2 +6 then p(x) + p(5)=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if p of r is just 4r^2+6.... then it is reasonable to say that p of x is just 4x^2+6..... so p(x) plus p(x) would just be 8x^2+12..... and p(x)plus p(5) would be 4x^2+6+4(5^2)+6 which is 4x^2+112
