Find the volume of the pyramid with height h and rectangular base with dimensions b and 2b How do i do this using Calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you need to use calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understAnd using cross sections to find the area and then integrating that to find volume but i dont get why the book shows my answer 2b^2h divided by 3.... Im not getting where the 3 comes from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay I was just wondering. I know nothing about calculus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Volume of a pyramid is... \[(B \times h) \over 3\] Where B is the base area and h is the height. Hope this helps.
