A box contains 5 right-handed gloves and 6 left-handed gloves. If Sabina randomly removes 1 glove from the box, how many times must she remove a glove in order to be certain to get a right-handed glove?? The options are: (A) 5 (B) 6 (C) 7 (D) 10 (E) 11

hartnn (hartnn):

in worst case she picks all 6 left handed gloves first. in 7th pick, she is certain to pick right handed glove.

hartnn (hartnn):

but when she randomly removes the glove it can be right or left so worst case would be she picks right, then still in 1st 6 picks she gets left and certainly in 7th , a right one.
