Parth (parthkohli):

What do you think the y-intercept is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

They all are equations in slope-intercept form. To check if the equation is the line drawn in the graph, let y be 0 and see if x yields -1 (the x-intercept)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x -2

OpenStudy (phi):

if you have slope intercept form y= mx+b b is the y-intercept. you know b= 2 look at the line. Does it slope up to the right? then it has + slope if the line goes down to the right, it has - slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So y=–2x+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the top is going to the right and bottom to the left

OpenStudy (phi):

put your finger on the line. move along the line (but toward the right) are you going up or down? up is positive slope, down is negative slope. slope is change in y divided by change in x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

UP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its going to the top right

OpenStudy (phi):

up is positive slope, m is positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2x+2
