Are polynomial expressions closed under addition? please explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is a polynomial

@hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

can u post the entire question? this is very general. its closed or not depends on the co-efficients

hartnn (hartnn):

if nothing else is given, then i would assume that co-efficients are from real number set. then addition will be closed

hartnn (hartnn):

the set of polynomials is closed under addition because the result of adding any two polynomials is another polynomial
