what is the y-intercept of -10x-1/2y=5? -20 -10 -2 -1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Get the equation in to the form y = mx + b where b is the y intercept: -1/2y = 10x + 5 Multiply both sides of the equation by -2: y = -20x - 10; -10 is the y intercept.

I believe you need to start by putting it in slope intercept form.
