A sales representative's car gets 18 miles to a gallon of gas.  It was driven 120 miles each day for 30 days.  Gas cost an average of $2.27 per gallon. What was the sales representative's total cost for gas?

There's extra information in the problem, can you guess which information is irrelevant?

OpenStudy (agent47):

120mi*30days = 3,600 miles drive in total.

OpenStudy (agent47):

Total cost = cost per mile * total miles driven. Voila, and you get the answer.

Don't forget to multiply your answer by 2.27 :)

OpenStudy (agent47):

@Denebel That is what I meant by: Total cost = cost per mile * total miles driven
