marcos is cutting ribbons for a craft project. each ribbon needs to be 3/4 yards long. if each piece is always within plus or minus 1/16 yards how long are the shortest and longest pies of ribbon... i don't get it

so each ribbon must be about 3/4 of a yard it can either be at least 1/16 longer or 1/16 shorter than 3/4 so the length of the ribbon would lie between 3/4-1/16 and 3/4+1/16
