HELPPPPP!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you familiar with the law of sines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

once again, SOHCAHTOA. is x adjacent, or opposite angle 49?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x/55 = cos49 => x=55*cos49 (use calc for cos49) :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos49 = 0.656....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I'll leave this to you, mi hombre. Bueno Suerte. o/ @alexaniandavid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

¡le deseo éxito

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wait a second..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Arielllllllllllllllll its adjacent to 49

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OKAY. HERE we go.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im going to draw the darn thing out, okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1347131217056:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You want to find X, so ignore Y, but x is adjacent to angle 49 as we know, right? Therefore, we're going to use Cosine, because SOHCAHTOA. Cos = adj/hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you want to do is this: Cos = adj/ hypo cos49 = x / 55 Cosine is used for the angles, remember. Anyhoo, you multiply both sides by 55 because why? Because you want to get x by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey Ariellll, I'm not sure what it means rounded to nearest 100th, but here is answer 36.083246594477900663037278021288

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so then its 36.08

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you get x by itself, you get 55cos49 = x If you can use a calculator, go for it, if you can't let me ENLIGHTEN YOUR MATHEMATICAL SKAHIZZLES and tell you. --------------

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, okay, good skills! GOOD SKILLS. and yes. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both of you AMAZING skillz, keep going, :P math is just another one of those things you get by, and thanks for helping @alexaniandavid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just one of WHAT skills ? :-) and stop complaining about my skills AriellllLLllLl..:-)
