OpenStudy (noelgreco):

An irrational number is one that cannot be expressed as the ratio of two integers. Big help, right? Furthermore, the square root of a non-perfect square, and a decimal number that does not repeat (e.g., 7.89898989...) are both irrational. You have two irrational numbers in the selections. Which ones?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0 is not the answer, 0 is a whole number, an integer, and a rational number.

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

\[\frac{ 0 }{ 4 }\] The ratio of two integers.

@NoelGreco can u explain ?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

Do you understand the terms ratio, integer, and perfect square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Some what , yes

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

Ratio is the comparison of one number to another. For the purposes here, it's a fraction with a whole number in the numerator and the denominator. An integer is a positive or negative whole number or zero. A perfect square is a number whose square root is an integer. 25, 121, 36 are perfect squares. 6, 5, 3, 7 are examples of non-perfect squares. Study those terms until you understand them.
