Open study should be made into an app

yeah, it would be very helpful, but i just realized that people could cheat on a test using it, and i wouldn't want that

Well i don't know first of all most schools/colleges are highly sensitive about cell phones and i doubt anyone would risk using it on a test.

Hmm i guess so........... I can only say that for my college because my instructors always walk around the classroom when a test is in session.

Maybe they can find a way to keep people from using it on a test, like making it vibrate or ring if you get an answer

I dont know if that will work because people will put their phones on silent....Still though even if they would use Openstudy as a cheating device they wont have a successful future.

I honestly thought OS was already an app, but when I searched the app store, there was nothing like it. I think if it was made into an app it would be a success

The reason for not having an app is, Openstudy doesn't have a huge team to develop it. The current team stay too busy in fixing the desktop site that they don't get time to make a mobile app.

Well, we use our time to both fix and improve the desktop site, not just fix it ;)

Apps are a pretty large undertaking, especially when we're talking about developing an app for a site as complex as this. We've occasionally played with the idea of packaging the mobile web version into a very small app that just pulls it up in a browser, but haven't been satisfied enough with performance to do that yet.

The other bad idea about an App is that you, afterall, are supposed to be studying....not just going on and chatting it up.
