air has a higher concentration of oxygen molecules than does the cytoplasm of your lung cells. Where in your lungs will there be a net increase of oxygen. A)in the air greathed in B)in the air breathed out C)outside of the lungs cells D)inside of the lung cells air has a higher concentration of oxygen molecules than does the cytoplasm of your lung cells. So when you breathe in air, oxygen molecules enter the lungs and attach to hemoglobin in the lung cells. This saturates the cells with oxygen which is then transported by hemoglobin to oxygen deprived tissues. Air only contains 20% oxygen however once hemoglobin in lung cells are saturated with the oxygen from the air it is > 90% saturation. So D will have a net increase of oxygen, the deoxygenated lung cells become oxygenated upon breathing
