MIPS/Assembly: What does this program do? I'm mainly concerned about the line that starts with lb.
li $t0, 0xabcd9876
sw $t0, 100($0)
lb $s5, 101($0)

lb is probably a short hand of 'load byte', so 'lb $s5, 101($0)' would load a byte from memory location 101($0) into register $s5.
